The 15 Chapels
A visit to the 15 Chapels is a special stop during a cycling or walking tour.
This unique site is located in the wooded area of Achterbos.
The chapels are arranged in a row and depict the 14 Stations of the Cross of Jesus Christ – from condemnation to crucifixion and burial. The fifteenth chapel, dating back to the 18th century, completes this historic site.
It’s also a perfect rest stop along the way, where nature, history and reflection come together.

Here, you can enjoy hundreds of kilometres of cycling pleasure through varied landscapes and charming villages.
Good to know: the Schansheide trail was awarded Walking Route of the Year in 2023, making it a must for anyone wanting to experience the unique nature of this region.
